Dark Wolf secure Wurz for 99

Dark Wolf have signed JRacing’s Alexander Wurz on a 1 year deal today. The young Austrian who made his FF1M debut in 1997 with ARacing will move to the series newest team next season.

Wurz currently lies 16th in the championship this season having scored 4 points.

McNish returns to Vader Trophy Racing for 99

Current FJR driver Allan McNish will return to VTR next season after signing a 1 season deal with the team he left at the end of last season. The Scot who won VTR’s first victory at Spa last season drove 33 races for VTR in his previous spell, scoring 1 win and 1 pole position and scoring 77 points.

Frentzen to race for FJR in 1999

Current FF1M-3000 Championship Leader Heinz Harald Frentzen will race for FJR in 1999 it was announced today.

The 32 year old German is the teams current test driver and rumours had been circulating on his future after he was noticeably quicker than the teams current race drivers during pre season testing.

Frentzen previously competed in 16 races for Jordan in Season One, with a 6th place at the British Grand Prix his best finish in a season hamstrung with retirements.
